My poor crib, RIP

News, news, news. I actually have a purpose to this post this time but not much time to write it in. I will try to update a little after I get out the main point to this post.

A bunch of Jardine cribs sold in Toys R Us and Babies R Us have been recalled due to slats breaking and trapping children. The recall website, lists the model numbers of the cribs and unfortunately ours happens to be one of them.

I love our crib. It is gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! It's cherry wood, the short panels are solid, it has a sleigh type shape and it's GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE MY CRIB. :(

Jardine has said to stop using the crib immediately. Well, when you have just started to crib train your child, this is a problem. We will continue to use it until our voucher package arrives. When that comes, we have to pack up the hardware (bolts and screws) to ensure that we can no longer use the crib and within 2 weeks we should see our voucher for a new crib. We will be without a crib during that time and during the time it takes us to find out if we can get a crib online and find the extra money for shipping or find a way to get a crib down here from the Babies R Us in Spokane. Yeah, that's going to be interesting. We have a pack and play to use in the meantime, but I can't reach the bottom of it (yay for being short) so I don't know how I'm supposed to lay Lily down in it.

Lord I'm irritated. The only two cribs we can find online that are close to what we have and what I want are either $100 cheaper (and we don't get the difference back) or $100 more expensive. I don't have an extra $100 and we spent $250 on a crib - I don't want a $150 crib.

Anyway, that's that. I'm saddened.

Work is going okay. Lots of drama.

Lily has cut a top tooth and should cut the other top tooth soon. She's in pain and not sleeping well. Last night she was awake from 2-5am, asleep until 5:20am and then awake again. Needless to say, I'm exhausted!!!

Along with her teeth comes fun noises. We can now say "th" and "click click click." The clicking is her clicking her top tooth and bottom teeth across each other. Ugh - that is a horrible sound!!! ;)

I think that's about it for now. It's our anniversary today and it's been ... meh. Mike got me some gorgeous flowers but we were really too broke to do much aside from go out to dinner. No movie and no other gifts. Oh well - hopefully we'll always have the future! :D

That's absurd that the recall is inconveniencing parents so much! That just makes me mad for you guys. No only do you have to go without one for a while, you aren't being compensated properly. Not to mention the fact that BRU might run out of other cribs since so many people have this one.

sorry :(
